The jacket is the best quality that is currently available. Much better than the other top two players is this segment. This jacket is made for serious use. The only negative is the fabric is noisy, more so than other name brand shells. However the noise may fade as the fabric becomes more supple with use. Used this shell to cover a heavy down jacket in a freezing rain event with wind at 30+ knots. Was impressed with its ability to shed water and ice. I expect this will be my new travel go-to.
