I could not be happier with this backpack. I commute to work 20 miles roundtrip and I did not feel any back pain at all (I weighed my fully loaded backpack at 18.5 lbs). The chest strap was enough to keep it in position as I did not need a waist strap to keep it from moving.

The ergonomic straps were very comfortable and did not dig into my skin.

In the backpack's main compartment I was able to fit.

-1 Change of clothes (Shirt and Slacks in eagle creek's packing envelope)
-Underwear, undershirt, socks (in eagle creek's pouch) and shoes.
-Medium-Large towel
-Breakfast bowl (oatmeal and fruit)

In the organizational pockets I put:

-Bike lock
-2 tubes and tools to change them (including CO2 cartridge)
-wallet
-Laptop Cord
-I also attached a light to the straps in the back of the backpack (above chrome logo).
-Pens, business cards, cellphone

The backpack feels like it is very well constructed. The interior compartment is lined with tarpauline, fully water-proof. The laptop compartment appears to be waterproof as well, though I have not tested it yet. The zipper on the laptop side compartment zips from bottom to top. At the top, the zipper is placed under a dome to prevent water from getting into the backpack through the zipper. Every zipper has a plastic cover that will prevent water from getting through.

Cordura fabric will literally make this backpack last forever.
I placed the Laptop in the laptop side compartment, which has a strap to secure it, and other work-related documents as well.

It was a pleasure to use. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Though I now wished I had gone for the black-red combination instead of all black.
