So why would a non-Muslim woman want to have a "modest" swimsuit? I adore the sea but frankly, it's got some jellyfish issues. And I think we've all run into the occasional piece of weird-lloking seaweed that we really do not want touching us!

I think every woman of a healthy body weight has some thigh-chafing issues on the beach. Also I'm one of those arctic-snow-pale people who burns just by standing near the window on a slightly sunny day, so there is definitely conflict between the seaside and my complexion... I was worried what using such ridiculous amounts of nuclear-proof sunscreen would do to my skin and my wallet over time, not to mention the occasional vicious burn from having missed a spot with said sunscreen. Plus I have tattoos, which can fade very quickly if you tan the skin there, so I was always having to wear a tshirt over my swimsuit anyway.

Finally, I like snorkelling, and in a pool I have to wear goggles, and I just got tired of my hair ripping out every damned time I use those items. Never mind the whole hair-getting-in-my-view problem because of that one bit of hair that will NOT stay tied back!

So... after trying out triathalon suits (which are designed for ridiculously short/skinny women, frankly) and bike shorts and swim shorts and various sorts of shirts and wondering what else to do about my hair situation (because, admit it, bathing caps look stupid and old-lady-ish on everyone) and so forth, I happened to remember about "modest" sports fashions and found this nice design. Best of all, it's easy for boats and jetskis to see you (I swim pretty far out usually) without dragging those stupid buoys or flag contraptions around while trying to swim.

And it fits! And you can tie down the top while swimming and then undo the ties to get some breeze! And you can adjust the trouser cuffs -- I hope they will do a version where you can adjust the wrist cuffs too?

BONUS: They were really nice about replacing the item when it magically vanished in transit. No extra charge, no extra s+h, no forms, no "I have to ask a supervisor".... I wrote them for help late one night, by the next morning there was a very polite and empathizing email response to my message, and *poof* the replacement arrived in a couple of days. So five stars for customer service too. *applause*
