This is a really nice executive briefcase. A similar bag locally was about 80% more, and not as nice as this one.

The briefcase comes in a factory box with plenty of crumpled paper protecting it, with more paper stuffed in the bag so it keeps its shape during shipping. The bag arrives wrapped in paper which in turn, is in a cloth bag for further protection. It arrived in perfect condition.

Everything about this bag is very nice; the uniform color of the soft leather, the sewing & stitching, the removable shoulder strap (with a huge pad to rest on your shoulder), and especially, the design and overall quality. The clasp and other hardware shown in one of the Amazon photos is brass colored on the brown case, and black on the black case.

One side has an unobstructed sleeve, the other side has a zippered smaller area for things like pens/pencils, mini-notebook, keys, etc.

A single zipper on the top opens a large middle section that is sectioned off about 60/40 as shown in Customer Image, with a cloth divider. That division might be fine if you mostly carry paperwork, but I don't, so I had my wife cut out the divider to make one large center section.

The dual handles are comfortable for carrying. The bottom is all leather (no metal feet), so you can put it on a piece of furniture without fear of scratching it. It remains upright when set down, as opposed to falling over as some soft cases do.

The Amazon blurb says it comes with a "removable sleeve that may be used to hold a laptop or file folders and documents...". Mine had no such sleeve, but since I didn't want or need such a thing, it still gets 5 stars.
