Just fits the computer, locks work great, very very solid feel to the bags.
I ALWAYS buy bags I can lock, that way if I am shopping, I can lock them and it's just enough to discourage the "crime of opportunity".
These just fit my notebook computer which is 13" x 9.5" rectangle, at a diagonal angle, so the width is the external dimension.
The combo lock is easy to set to your own numbers, and two digits take enough time that most 'casual theives' won't bother with it.
I have to say, I love saddlemen stuff, but these are affordable and built like a tank. I am using them with edge brackets so the lock ON the bike as well as lock closed.
I'd highly recommend them unless you grocery shop with the bike.
